Statement of Faith

We believe in God the Father, who is the Creator, Ruler and Sovereign over all.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, whose present ministry includes the glorification of Jesus and the indwelling of believers, whom He enables to live a godly life. We believe in His supernatural gifting and empowering of the church for its work, life and worship.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in His virgin birth.

We believe that He led a sinless life.

We believe in His miracles.

We believe in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood.

We believe in His bodily resurrection.

We believe in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father.

We believe in His return in power and glory.
(John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; Philippians 2:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18)

We believe that justification by faith in the atonement of Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man.

We believe that the primary agency for the work of God’s Kingdom is the local church, functioning under the sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ. The church has been entrusted with the ordinances of believers’ baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

We believe in leading a lifestyle which increasingly includes the practice of ethical conduct and integrity consistent with the character of Jesus Christ and biblical standards as the Holy Spirit transforms us into the image of Christ.

We believe in the return of Jesus Christ, to consummate His kingdom in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – those who are saved will rise to eternal life, and those who are lost will rise to eternal separation from God.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and that when it comes to minor matters of theology is it better to “agree to disagree” than to foster arguments among the body.
